Coronavirus

Due to the global health emergency caused by coronavirus the Cheltenham Philharmonic Orchestra has had to take the sad but necessary step of stopping all music making. We were in the midst of our 125th Anniversary Season, something which we have been planning for over two years. Rehearsals for our planned concert in March were going wonderfully well and we were hugely excited about our planned performance of the Verdi Requiem in June.

For those of you who had bought tickets for our March concert the Town Hall are making arrangements for refunds. Please bear with them as they have to deal with many cancelled events.

We do not wish all our hard work and planning to come to nothing. We plan to perform some of the works we were preparing next season. We are working with the choirs who were going to join us in June to continue our Verdi project at another time.

We have been bringing music to the people of Cheltenham for 125 years and we look forward to resuming those many years of tradition as soon as circumstances allow.
