The Cheltenham Philharmonic Orchestra is the principal orchestra for amateur players in the town.
New members, who can play to a good standard, are always welcome, subject to vacancies. There is no formal audition, but there is an informal assessment period of four weeks for you and us to decide whether we are suited.
Where there is no full time vacancy, players may be put on a waiting list and contacted when there is a need for extras or deputies.
Full members pay an annual subscription
We play four concerts a year at Pittville Pump Room and Cheltenham Town Hall. Concerts are on Sunday afternoons. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings in Cheltenham.
