Sue has been a member of the orchestra for over thirty-five years and was appointed leader in 1993. Her involvement with Cheltenham Philharmonic goes beyond the musical, as it is here that she met her husband Stephen who was then playing in the horn section and is now Conductor. Their sons, Sam and Joseph (‘cello and clarinet respectively), have also played with the orchestra, which Sue regards as her second family.
