We are delighted to present the first concert of our 2021/22 Season. After eighteen months of not being able to get together to make music it is a very welcome relief to be able to rehearse and perform together again.
This concert features two works which we were short weeks away from performing back in March 2020 – the famous Finlandia by Sibelius and his wonderful second symphony. We are also honoured to be joined again by the brilliant young cellist Rebecca McNaught. Rebecca played the Dvorak Cello Concert with us in 2016 and for this concert will perform Shostakovich’s brilliant Cello Concerto No 1.
