The Phil are delighted to be welcoming Emma Jones who will join us in June to play the Glazunov Saxophone Concerto. Emma played in the orchestra last year and the orchestra were wowed by her playing.
Emma is a British classical saxophonist. She graduated from the Birmingham conservatoire with a first class honours in 2015 studying under Naomi Sullivan and will complete her Master of Music in The Hague, The Netherlands in 2017.
She aspires to perform regularly as an orchestral saxophonist and has performed across the UK and Europe with international orchestras and ensembles including the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands, Asko|Schönberg and the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, under notable conductors such as Valery Gergiev and Reinbert De Leeuw.
